2 days – 4 passes – 2 countries

Like my last years 3 days – 3 passes – 3 countries tour, I made a similar one last weekend. I started in Buchs SG and went via Klosters, Davos and Flüelapass (2383m asl) to Susch. I camped there and had have to hear a lot of story’s about the brown bear in the Flüela area.

After a breakfest in the Hotel Rezia Posta, which is owned by a Saxon, I went on to Livigno, ITA. Livigno enjoys a particular tax status as duty-free area. This explains the mass tourism there. Never mind! I went on via the Forcola di Livigno (2315m asl), Berninapass (2330m asl) and Albulapass (2315m asl) to Tiefencastel. Where I took the train home.

Altogether a great, but too short, weekend.

My 2nd half marathon – Rennsteiglauf (DE)

I finished my second half marathon in 2 hours and 1 minute. So it was a little bit faster than my first one and it was also more fun because I started and finished with a friend of mine (thanks to Frank, who improved his time too) and the start was not at 11:30am in the midday sun but very early at 7:30am.

The third time is charm. The “3 Länder Marathon” in October which leads from Lindau (DE) along the Lake Constance shore via Bregenz (AT) to St. Margrethen (CH) and back to Bregenz will be my third and last half marathon this year.

Are there unfriendly Swiss?

Yes there are, but very few. I live in switzerland for one year and all the people have been very friendly and polite to me. But today I get offended the first time because I’m German. Now I known how it feels as a foreigner if you meet a racist. But I hope this will be an individuall case.
